Cat on a Hot Tin Roof at London's Novello Theatre

After a sell-out run on Broadway last year, the acclaimed production of Tennessee Williams' timeless tale arrives in London.

As on Broadway, the show stars Tony Award winners James Earl Jones as Big Daddy and Phylicia Rashad as Big Mama.

The production is directed by Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning director, actor and choreographer Debbie Allen – best known for playing Lydia Grant in the original film and TV series of Fame.

The dynamic cast of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof is led by:

• James Earl Jones (Big Daddy) won Tony Awards for his performances in August Wilson's Fences and The Great White Hope. His many TV and movie credits include the voice of Darth Vadar in the Star Wars movies.
• Phylicia Rashad (Big Mama) is best known for her role as Clair Huxtable in The Cosby Show. The two-time Emmy Award nominee also won a Tony Award for her role in A Raisin in the Sun
• Adrian Lester (Brick) who plays con artist Mickey Bricks in TV's Hustle and won an Olivier Award for his role in Company
• Sanaa Lathan (Maggie): a Tony Award nominee who plays Michelle Landau in the TV series Nip/Tuck and starred opposite Denzel Washington in Out of Time

Cat on a Hot Tin Roof: The Story

Cat on a Hot Tin Roof centres on a powerful Southern American family as they gather to celebrate the birthday of patriarch Big Daddy.

Big Daddy is unaware that he is dying of cancer. His family hide the diagnosis from him and Big Mama as they rush to secure their share of his estate.

Meanwhile, tensions are mounting between alcoholic former footballing hero Brick and his beautiful but sexually frustrated wife, Maggie. Their troubled relationship explodes into a stormy and steamy climax, just as the family's shocking secrets are finally revealed.
